Two people were arrested early Wednesday in Stafford County following a pursuit during which a deputy’s vehicle was struck, authorities said.
Stafford Sheriff’s spokeswoman Amanda Vicinanzo said the incident began about 1:30 a.m. when a resident reported suspicious activity in the area of Jousting Court. Three people were seen peering into vehicles with flashlights and a car alarm was activated, Vicinanzo said.
Deputy James Wrights spotted a black sedan the suspects were seen getting into and learned that it had been stolen in Leesburg. When Wright tried to stop the car, the driver sped off.
