CINCINNATI — On Memorial Day weekend in 2007, a car fleeing a Massachusetts state trooper crashed into a taxi, killing passenger Paul Farris, 23, who was ripped out of the cab and thrown against a house.
“Obviously, it was the worst day of my life,” said Paul’s father, Jon Farris. “You’re totally in shock. You don’t know what to say. You don’t know what to do.”
The crash critically injured Paul’s girlfriend, Kate Hoyt, who spent four months in a hospital.
