Deputies with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office were the end of the line for a suspect involved in a car chase that began in Henderson County on March 9.
“At approximately 4:05 p.m. on Thursday, the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office for assistance in stopping a suspect that had reportedly been involved in a home invasion where he took the victim’s vehicle,” said Chief Deputy Troy Black. “The suspect was reported to have a weapon, and the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office was tracking the vehicle with OnStar. They had tracked the vehicle from Henderson County to Jacksonville and reported that it was currently entering Anderson County on Highway 79.”
As several units from Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and DPS responded to the area, OnStar reported the vehicle had stopped at a residence on ACR 367, Black said.
